Safeguarding the future – our contribution
The Institute of Hygiene promotes science
Several of our scientists also work as university lecturers within the framework of lectureships at various universities in Germany and offer regular classes for students of hygiene, toxicology, microbiology, engineering and analytical chemistry.
The director of our Institute, Prof. Dunemann, habilitated in analytical chemistry in 1991. In 1996 he was appointed professor at Clausthal University of Technology. He has been a lecturer at the Ruhr University Bochum, which awarded the Institute of Hygiene its status of affiliated institute, since 2000. As university lecturer, Prof. Dunemann promotes the dissemination of our areas of expertise, i.e. environmental hygiene, toxicology and analytical chemistry. In addition, the Institute of Hygiene supports the degree course Environmental Technology and Resource Management at the Ruhr University Bochum with separate classes.
Prof. Ewers, head of our department of environmental toxicology, gives lectures on hygiene and toxicology at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf.
Priv.-Doz. Tuschewitzki, head of our department of environmental microbiology, drinking water and bathing water hygiene, lectures on microbiology at the University of Bonn.
