Progress starts with research
The Institute of Hygiene as a research center
In a networked world, research is one of the primary requirements for progress and is needed now more that ever.
Several of our institute departments regularly conduct research which is commissioned and supported by a variety of institutions. Currently, our research focus is on the development and validation of analytical methods that can be applied to materials in contact with drinking or ground water. In addition, we are working on the optimization of ecotoxicological methods and models.
Our current projects are sponsored by the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMB), the Federal Environmental Agency (UBA) and the Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik (DIBt, a german federal institution for structural engineering).
